Gregor Hunter could make his first appearance at Scotstoun
Glasgow Warriors have named the squad that will take on the Army on Friday, at Scotstoun Stadium in a friendly (ko 7.35pm).

The 31-man squad features 10 capped internationals as well as number of players who will play at Scotstoun for the first time including fly-half Gregor Hunter.

The 23-year-old signed for the club in 2014 but had a reoccurrence of a knee injury during pre-season of his first year. He has since fought back and has recently been playing for Glasgow Hawks in the BT Premiership.

Junior Bulumakau will also feature, and will face his former side having signed from the Army in the summer, having helped defeat the Navy, scoring a try at Twickenham earlier this year.

Six BT Sport Scottish Rugby Academy players are also involved giving scrum-half, George Horne and second-row, Callum Hunter-Hill the chance to play for the club for the first time.

Tickets for Friday’s game are still available from glasgowwarriors.org and the finalised team will be announced on social media on Friday.

Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: "We're excited about playing at Scotstoun against the Army, which gives us the chance to further our preparations for our next GUINNESS PRO12 match against Munster.

“By putting out an extended squad on Friday, there is an opportunity for a number of players to put their hands up for selection squad for that Munster game.

“It’s great to see Gregor Hunter back in the fray after performing well in his last three games for Glasgow Hawks.

“In Callum Hunter-Hill, we also have another 18-year-old second row involved with our pro squad. Following the recent displays of Scott Cummings, it is really encouraging to see that sort of depth in our squad.

“We’ll also be releasing a few players to represent their clubs in the BT Premiership the following day depending on the game-time they get on Friday with us.”
