Glasgow's Senior Academy lock Dan Halkon starts for Scotland U20
Glasgow Warriors Academy will have a strong presence in the Scotland U20 squad this Friday, with six young Warriors selected for the warm-up match ahead of the World Rugby U20 Championship.

Dan Halkon and Alex Bryden have been named in the starting XV for the clash with Ireland U20 at Meggetland Sports Complex, while Joe Roberts, Jackson Rennie, Rory Purvis and Harry Provan are included among the replacements.

Kick-off is scheduled for 3.30pm on Friday 5 June, with the fixture providing valuable preparation before the squad travels to Georgia later this month for the World Rugby U20 Championship.

The Warriors are also represented within the coaching team, with Senior Academy Assistant Coach Duncan Weir continuing his role with Scotland's age-grade programme.

Weir is joined by two familiar figures for the Glasgow, as former Warriors' captain Henry Pyrgos and former scrum-half Sean Kennedy are both part of the Scotland U20 coaching setup.
