Duncan Weir re-signed with Glasgow Warriors in 2021 having left Scotstoun in 2016.

Only Dan Parks and Tommy Hayes have scored more points in a Glasgow jersey than the fly-half, whose first appearance for the Warriors came off the bench against Leinster in April 2010.

A breakthrough campaign in 2011/12 saw him named to the RaboDirect PRO12 Dream Team, as his 198 points helped the Warriors reach the semi-finals.

Weir was an integral part of the Guinness PRO12 title-winning side of 2014/15, coming off the bench to kick the final points of the famous 31-13 victory in the Guinness PRO12 Final victory over Munster in Belfast.

His pinpoint accuracy from the tee has long been a staple of the fly-half's game, with Weir kicking a flawless 10 conversions from 10 attempts in the final match of his first spell at Scotstoun - a 70-10 thumping of Zebre.

A two-year stint at Edinburgh preceded three seasons with Worcester Warriors, where Weir became a cult hero with the English Premiership club's supporters.

His Worcester career included being one of only two players to amass over 200 English Premiership points in 2018/19, joining England fly-half George Ford in the exclusive club, as well as raising over £16,000 for Acorns Children's Hospice through growing his unmistakable afro in 2020.

On the international stage, too, Weir has performed with distinction; an iconic match-winning drop goal against Italy in 2014 and selection for the 2015 Rugby World Cup are just two of his highlights from his Scotland career to date.
