Back row Warrior James Eddie has played consistently well for Glasgow and together with his tireless running and big tackles he has been an ever present figure on the pitch making him a worthy award winner.
The Warriors Supporters have voted Max Evans for try of the month for his try against Cardiff Blues at Firhill. Max returned to the Warriors fold after Scotland’s 6 Nations match against Wales. Max scored this try in the dying minutes of the game and duly dedicated it to his injured younger brother Thom by making a “T” shape with his arms.
However it would appear that James Eddie’s popularity with fans in February hasn’t finished – he has also been voted both Player and Try of the Month for March! James scored a last minute try during the Warriors match against Connacht which proved crucial in maintaining Glasgow’s Magner’s League Play off hopes. Fans felt that he really deserved the award of Player of the Month for March as well.
Glasgow Warriors Supporters Club Chairwoman Carolyn Armstrong said “James’ Player of the Month awards and Try of the Month award for March confirm how well he has been playing for the Warriors since coming back from injury. To win three awards really highlights his on- pitch achievements. Max’s try of the month award reflects the rich vein of form he has been in for the Warriors culminating in his well taken try”
