Ospreys had their moments but were starved of possession and struggled to deal with Glasgow's physicality. Reuben Morgan-Williams and Luke Morgan scored tries for Ospreys while Dan Edwards kicked seven points. The win means Glasgow rise to third in the URC table behind Stormers and Munster. Ospreys have made an encouraging start to the season and started brightly this evening when they were awarded a penalty try after their maul drove Glasgow back over their own line. Dewi Lake and Ben Warren made some strong carries before Morgan-Williams spotted a gap to race over the line to score with Edwards adding the conversion. Despite the wet conditions Glasgow's handling was looking impressive as they went from side-to-side before Steyn went over in the corner with Hastings adding a further two points. Edwards kicked a penalty for the Ospreys before Lake got sent to the sin bin for a high shot on Glasgow prop Murphy Walker. Glasgow took 21-10 lead into the interval when Matthews went over from short-range off the back of a lineout for his trademark try. Ospreys made a quick start to the second period shifted the ball wide with some nice hands from Edwards putting Morgan over at the corner. Edwards converted but Glasgow soon extended their lead whensharp work from Dobie saw his go through a big gap in the Ospreys defensive line to score. Glasgow claimed a fifth try with some excellent handling resulting in Ollie Smith putting Ferrie in at the far left-hand corner. Alex Craig had a try disallowed but Glasgow were not to be denied a sixth try when Duncan scored off the back of another driving maul. Speaking after the game, Franco Smith admitted to some nerves in the build-up to the game. but was ultimately very satisfied. "I was very nervous around this one, and I thought tonight the boys stepped up from an emotional and from a creativity point of view," Smith told Premier Sports. "We knew that it was going to be tough and the Ospreys didn't disappoint. They were really tough to break down and fortunately I think the try just before half-time [by Matthews] allowed us to come out of a different mindset."
