The Herald reports that Derek McGrath, the Heineken Cup supremo, has launched a probe into referee Giulio di Santis' performance during Glasgow's victory over Bourgoin at Hughenden last weekend.

Bourgoin director Philippe Saint-André claimed poor decisions handed the victory to Glasgow by 13-12. McGrath has asked for a video of the game and a report on the Italian referee from SRU assessors and match commissioner.

Di Santis back-tracked on his decision to send off Bourgoin prop Thibault Mazet. After watching a video re-run of the alleged technical offence, he cancelled the sending off.
