Andy Hall training with Glasgow Hawks

Glasgow's Andy Hall has been training with Glasgow Hawks in an effort to regain match fitness after a spell out through injury.

Hall turned out for the Hawks second XV along with fellow Warriors Kenny Sinclair and Andy Kelly in a match against Heriot's FP second XV. The Warriors coaches have suggested that their players maintain match fitness by playing and training at the clubs. This has been welcomed by Hawks as their website says: "We are very encouraged by this refreshing approach and are only too willing to cooperate in order to build bridges with the Glasgow Team Management under Kiwi Searancke."

Warriors winger Jon Steel put in a fine performance and scored two of Jed's seven tries in their 41-7 victory over Currie in a friendly at Riverside Park last Saturday. Glasgow centre Alan Bulloch was part of a slightly understrength Currie team. Glasgow prop Lee Harrison is included in the Melrose squad to play Stirling County at Bridgehaugh this Friday (ko 8.00pm). Glasgow stand-off Calvin Howarth has been assigned to his former club Boroughmuir for the Integrated Tournament.
