In an interview with Scottish Rugby magazine, Searanke told Dave Hammond: "There is a big pool of players in my squad that I want to hang on to. The emphasis has to be to find players of influence, not necessarily superstars, but players to compliment what we already have. We are not looking for a name as big as Todd Blackadder but that should not be seen as being negative. We need players who can have that sort of influence though."
"There are those players out there, but the hard part is to pick the type of player you want and make sure that not only are they an advantage to us at Glasgow, but also to Scottish rugby as a whole, because that is part of our role." A number of names have been linked to the Warriors including James McLaren, Gordon McIlwham, Andy Craig and Simon Danielli.
Last night's Integrated Tournament game between Stirling County and Melrose was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and will now be played on Sunday at 3pm.
