Jason White has spoken about his decision to move to Zurich Premiership high flyers Sale Sharks. "It wasn't the money," White explained, "but Sale are a good side and will be challenging for honours - at this stage of my career that is the sort of team that I want to play for. Everything about Sale has been very helpful and very positive. They put no extra pressure on me to sign."

White admits that the dismal season that Glasgow suffered did influence him but only at the margin. "The Kiwi factor," he said in reference to the sacked coach, "did have an influence but it wasn't the deciding factor."

"Glasgow had a good start to the season before things went wrong and I don't blame Kiwi (Searancke) for that. I think the players have to take the blame, including myself."
