Former Glasgow and Scotland favourite Dave Hilton has returned to his first club, Bristol, where he is expected to combine a coaching role with playing duties.

He is one of a core group of 18 players who will make up their squad as Bristol attempt to bounce back to the Zurich Premiership at the first attempt. Dave still has his family home in the city and his father still runs their butcher's business in Knowle.

  • Glasgow fans have started to receive details of season ticket prices for the new season. A season ticket for the ground will cost adults £89 with a concession price of £45. Stand tickets will cost adults £115 with a concession price of £55. Family tickets are also available at £228 (stand) and £179 (ground).

  • Former captain Andy Nicol will be heading the hospitality division at Glasgow.

  • Glasgow-bound Dan Parks was in good form as his Eastern Suburbs team ran out 36-22 winners at Southern Districts in the second round of the Tooheys New Cup. Dan ran the show for Easts despite coming in for some heavy treatment from his former teammates at Souths.
