Glenn won't repeat sins of the past

Glenn Metcalfe doesn't want a repeat of his 2000 sin-binning.
Glenn Metcalfe is determined to avoid a repeat of his experience at Cardiff in 2000.

Glenn was dispatched to the sin-bin for ten minutes after he'd emerged from the subs' bench in a match Scotland subsequently lost. Glenn pledges there would be no such opportunity for match official Chris White tomorrow in the World Cup warm-up match at the Millennium Stadium.

"Cardiff is an awesome place with the sea of red-coloured home supporters confronting you, and for me there was a red mist in the sense that for the first time I was sin-binned for what was called a late challenge," said Glenn.

"It was the first and hopefully last time a decision like that, and based on a marginal call, is given against me and the reality was I was committed to the challenge which the ref said was late so I had to go," he added.

"I'm not into dirty tactics so it was a one-off."
