Happy times again for Alan

Alan Bulloch is enjoying his rugby again.
Alan Bulloch is desperate to help Glasgow record a first-round Celtic Cup victory tonight.

Alan fell out of favour at Glasgow last season in a disappointing spell under coach Kiwi Searancke.

Alan said: "It is refreshing to be getting coached by Hugh Campbell and Sean Lineen after the problems we experienced here last year. I have worked with Hugh before with the Scotland and Scotland A teams - he is a friend. And Sean's emphasis is very much on having fun in training.

"I think, mentally, some of the guys will still be suffering a hangover from last season. A couple of good victories would shake that off. Training is actually enjoyable, just like it was with Rob Moffat a couple of years ago. Sean played in my position himself and has a lot of new variations and movements to practice.

"I have been reasonably happy with the rugby I have played in pre-season, and in the Celtic League. A couple of good performances, collectively, and our self-belief would improve."

"We were on the back foot a lot against Ulster, especially up front in the lineout and the scrum. It made it quite difficult for the backs to perform. So, this week, we know we have got to be physical and take the game to the Celtic Warriors, who will be similar to Ulster in many respects."
