Hawks stick with tried and tested formula

Glasgow Hawks won't be using Dan Parks in their top-of-the-table clash with Watsonians at Old Anniesland on Saturday.

Hawks are sticking with the squad who have made them front-runners in the race for the BT Premeirship.

"We could have fielded Glasgow Warriors's Dan Parks but having spoken with the player about his release it is better not to try to organise our plans to fit him into a group of guys he doesn't know," said Hawks coach Peter Wright, adding: "Similarly we have got where we are using players who are familiar with each other's styles so it is felt right to stick with them."

Cammy Mather will feature for Watsonians at some stage but it's thought there is an arrangement to have him substituted at some point. Gary Callander, Watsonians' coach said: "The main thing is that he is available and keen to play for us," he said. "He has given his all in midweek training , which typifies his attitude."

Sam Pinder and Joe Beardshaw, are listed in GHA's squad for the Premier One match against Currie at Malleny Park tomorrow (kick-off 3.00pm). Coach Andy Plastow said: "Sam was with us for a spell last season so he knows the boys."

Moffat">Stuart Moffat lines up for Currie.

is on duty for Stirling County in the basement battle with Ayr at Millbrae. Jon Steel misses out for Ayr through injury but Kenny Sinclair is at scrum-half.

Calvin Howarth was originally in the Boroughmuir squad but has had to pull out with a back injury.
