Cammy Mather couldn't help Watsonians avoid defeat to Glasgow Hawks
Glasgow Hawks took another stride towards the BT Premiership Division One title with a 16-3 victory over Watsonians at Old Anniesland. A second-half appearance by Cammy Mather couldn't stop Hawks overpowering the Myreside men with tries in the corner by Steve Duffy and Stuart Low.

It was Cammys first appearance in a Watsonian shirt since he 1998 and he claimed to have enjoyed the return. "The biggest difference is the sheer physical size of the players involved," he said after the game.

"Also the set-piece play is different. It would take you a week to learn the Glasgow line-outs and the pro game is broken down far more. We all know what we are going to do five or six phases ahead but these guys just play what's in front of them."

Cammy went on to give both Colin Shaw and Alan Nash a name check as youngsters to watch

Two tries by Moffat">Stuart Moffat weren't enough to stop GHA beating Currie 25-22 at Malleny Park. Joe Beardshaw weighed in with a try for GHA.

Rory McKay and Dave Millard helped Aberdeen GSFP to a 20-16 victory over Melrose at the Greenyards.

Kenny Sinclair and Andy Kelly helped Ayr to a 32-10 victory over Stirling County at Millbrae. was at wing for Stirling.

Scott Lawson marked his return to Biggar colours with a try in their 55-17 victory at Selkirk.

Dundee HSFP were delighted to have Sean Lamont available and the big wing played his full part in Dundee's 38-11 victory over West Of Scotland at Mayfield.
