Date change for Llanelli game

Posted by Editor on March 9, 2004 11:58 AM | 4 comments | Print | E-mail author
Glasgow's Celtic League match against Llanelli Scarlets at Wrexham has been arranged for Saturday 1 May (ko 5.30pm).

The game had been provisionally listed for the previous evening, but the switch to the Saturday has been made to fit in with the requirements of the Welsh television station, S4C.

The switch will obviously mean changes to travel arrangements for supporters. Supporters will now travel on the Saturday morning which should make it easier for people who can't get Friday off to make the trip.

The package includes luxury coach travel from Glasgow on match day, returning the following afternoon, as well as match tickets and hotel accommodation in Chester. The cost is £75 per person (sharing a twin room) or £95 (single room).

For further information please contact June or Ian at Glasgow’s official travel agents, Lawrie’s Travel (0131-554 0471).

To the travellers/potential travellers - is this still of interest? We now can't get the same hotel and the players are also travelling up on the saturday after the game as this was felt to aid their recovery times.
I'm also aware that the BT cup will be on that weekend, with a strong possibility that Hawks may be involved.
Id appreciate thoughts on these points. We currently have 15 people booked and il be contacting them shortly to see if the new travel arrangements suit them.

Can you tell me what the new timings are likely to be? My partner and I have already booked but returning on the Sunday may be a bit of a problem as I am due to work.
