Scotland start would thrill Dan

Dan would be thrilled to start for Scotland
Making his first start for Scotland would be a "huge thrill" for Glasgow fly-half Dan Parks.

Speculation persists that Dan will start at no. 10 for Scotland's Six Nations match with France on Sunday (3.00pm).

"To start would be a huge thrill, especially at Murrayfield," said Dan. "I've just got my fingers crossed. For me it's just about the twenty-two and if I start it'll be an extra bonus but I'm looking forward to getting out there."

"There's been a lot of talk about the kicking game in Italy. I didn't think it was that bad, but obviously that would be one area that I would want to do well in and get us into good positions," he said.

"Obviously forwards play a big part if you can get on the front foot," he said. "I've only played around 40 minutes in total and against Wales we really didn't get too much ball to run with but if I get the chance that's what I'm looking forward to."
