Heavy rain and strong winds didn't stop both teams put together some fine sequences of play. Glasgow's tries came from apprentice John Beattie, Ally Maclay(Glasgow Hawks), Dave Millard and Andy Craig. Calvin Howarth converted three of Glasgow's four tries.
There were a number of promising displays. Stirling County's Shawn Renwick made ground every time he had the ball and John Beattie put on a fine show dragging a number of Falcons over the line for his try.
New signing Andy Craig made a couple of excellent breaks and looks well on the way to recovery after his injury, while Rory Lamont started at full back and finished on the wing and made some searing breaks and huge hits. It might not be too long before Rory will be joining his brother Sean in the Glasgow team on a regular basis.
Others to impress were scrum-half AJ McFarlane, playing on his home pitch who looked very sharp, and Ally Maclay who served up a fine display of powerful running.
One disappointment was the absence of Cammy Mather, who seemed set to make his comeback after four months out through injury.
