Lions role for Bob

Congratulations to Bob - again
Glasgow and Scotland team physiotherapist Bob Stewart is one of six Scots selected as part of Sir Clive Woodward's management team for the British and Irish Lions tour of New Zealand next year.

The others are SRU Director of Rugby Ian McGeechan; Scotland team doctor James Robson; Edinburgh Rugby and Scotland team physiotherapist Stuart Barton; and Scotland team performance analyst and former Glasgow hooker Gavin Scott.

In addition Glaswegian chef Dave Campbell, who works with the English RFU, will be chef to the Lions.

Bob Stewart – Biography from SRU's website

Born 4.11.73 in Paisley. A former Marr College FP centre, Bob still turns out for Hillhead/Jordanhill when his duties as physiotherapist with Glasgow Warriors allow. He studied physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University and after graduating his first post was at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock. To further his experience Bob also worked in sports medicine for eight months in New Zealand where he was both employed and played rugby in Lower Hutt, Wellington. Bob toured as part of Scotland's medical team to South Africa in 1999, New Zealand in 2000, North America in 2002, South Africa in 2003, Rugby World Cup in 2003 and the tour of Australasia in 2004. Bob and his wife Ailie recently celebrated the birth of their first child, a daughter by the name of Maya

Well done - just hope we manage to get 6 players on tour as well.
