Glasgow's Calvin Howarth insists he was just doing his job with his 26 point record-breaking haul against the Borders last weekend.

And Glasgow fans will be hoping for a repeat performance tonight as the Warriors face Cardiff Blues at the Arms Park.

Calvin - filling in for Dan Parks who is on international duty - said: "I wasn't actually trying to prove anything to anybody.

"As one of the senior guys in the side, my main job was to give a lead to the less experienced lads. The rookies performed really well and that must be regarded as a massive positive in terms of our future.

"Stevie Swindall, John Beattie, John Barclay and Rory Lamont all did their jobs and exceeded expectations.

"As long as they can keep doing it over the next couple of weeks, there are going to be some hard decisions for the coaches to make when the frontliners come back."

Calvin's right, he was just doing his job, but what we are all so pleased about is that he was (and is) doing it so well!
By the sounds of it, Glasgow were right in the game in Cardiff up until the final whistle. Another 14 Glasgow points from Hobbsie!
