The French stars were beaten 37-15 at Old Anniesland in 1998 by Glasgow Hawks - who were then a newly-formed team playing in the Scottish Second Division.
Now Toulouse are aiming to stave off the challenge of the Glasgow professional team in their quest to keep alive their chances of regaining the Heineken Cup.
GHA coach Davie Wilson - who led the Hawks to glory back in 1998 - has fond memories of one of the biggest upsets in the history of the game north of the border.
And he claims it was a mixture of team spirit, adventurous play and a determination not to be intimidated by some dubious tactics from the French aces that paved the way to triumph.
Wilson told the Daily Record: "It all happened on the eve of the Scotland v France Six Nations encounter at Murrayfield - though Toulouse still had seven or eight Test men in their team.
"They turned up obviously expecting a bit of a light-hearted run around but I think it is fair to say we ended up giving them a lesson in bright and attacking rugby.
"It might only have been billed as a friendly but it was definitely a full-blooded ultra-competitive match.
"Toulouse soon discovered we meant business - and their streetwise attitude prompted them to start biting us and gouging our eyes.
"It was their No.8 Sylvain Dispagne who was the main culprit."
