Dan Parks starts for Glasgow

Dan Parks returns for Glasgow
Dan Parks has returned at stand-off for Glasgow's clash with Toulouse at Hughenden tomorrow night (ko 7.30pm).

Calvin Howarth, who had been preferred as Glasgow's outside half throughout last month, switches to full back as the three most recent incumbents are unavailable – Kenny Logan and Rory Kerr are injured whereas Colin Shaw, Glasgow Hawks' full back, is not in Glasgow's nominated European squad.

Kenny had fully recovered from his head-on collision in the Heineken match at Llanelli three weeks ago, but a neck strain keeps him out.

Glasgow have made nine changes, six in personnel, three positional, from the team who started in the Celtic League defeat by Edinburgh at Murrayfield a week past Monday. Gareth Maclure, Sam Pinder, and Joe Beardshaw also have been recalled whereas Donnie Macfadyen, Scotland's open-side flanker, and Andy Hall are unavailable because of injury. Glasgow's changes are:

Dan Parks at stand-off, with Calvin Howarth switching to full back to replace Shaw.

Gareth Maclure on the right wing for Rory Lamont, who, like Colin Shaw, is ineligible for European matches.

Andy Craig at outside centre, with Graeme Morrison moving to inside centre in place of Andy Henderson, who has been rested, though included among the replacements.

Sam Pinder at scrum half instead of Graeme Beveridge.

Cammy Mather at blind side, with Andrew Wilson transferring to open side in place of Donnie Macfadyen, who has a knee injury.

Joe Beardshaw at lock for Andy Hall, who has a thigh injury.

Two long-term absentees, Paul Dearlove and David Millard, return to the squad as replacements. A leg break has kept Paul out since late September, and Dave's jaw was fractured in November.

Glasgow's team was announced after a short training run at the Palace of Art. The session was switched to the all-weather surface to save the Hughenden pitch for tomorrow's match.

"No one really enjoys conditions like this. But the weather should be more advantageous to us," Hugh Campbell, Glasgow's head coach, told the Glasgow Warriors website after the final pre-match training run at the Palace of Art.

That session was switched to an all-weather pitch to save Hughenden for tomorrow's match. However, David Jordan, Glasgow's chief executive, confirmed today that the match would go ahead as planned at Hughenden despite the recent wet weather. "The pitch is wet, of course, but it's fine," he explained.

Before tomorrow's game a minute's silence will be observed for the casualties of the south-east Asia tsunami. Also, spectators will be invited to contribute to a bucket collection for the disaster funds.
