Warriors Family Day a huge success

Dan gets a couple of tips from a young fan
Today's Family Day was voted a massive success, taking full advantage of the beautiful weather.

The Warriors were out in force to welcome their young (and not so young) supporters to their first Family Day.

Children enjoyed face painting, a bouncy castle, tours of the changing rooms, a rugby skills zone, treasure hunts, and rugby drills with the players. All the children got team photos which were soon filled with autographs from the players, who also posed for photos with their fans.

For one young fan, the day was made even more special when a birthday cake was presented by Dan Parks, and an impromptu chorus of "Happy Birthday" was sung wishing him a happy 7th birthday.

Everyone had a great day, and are all looking forward to the next similar event. Well done to all the players who got so involved with the kids, and to all the families who turned out for such a great afternoon.

Congratulations to all involved. The players certainly entered into the spirit of the occasion.

Totally agree Kylie, can i just say about the comments underneath the photos of the Fun Day. The one with Rory Lamont and Andrew Henderson (Muffles)- The fans couldn't believe their luck at getting the chance to chat with their heroes.Well i'm just one of the gals in that pic and yeah we couldn't believe our luck but we were actually discussing to Andy about how our school (lenzie academy - his old school) wont actually let girls play rugby!! GRR!!

Yeah we were actually asking if he would come to our school and sort out our Rugby coach lol! Then Mr Scott (our coach) might actually let us play!!! Because we are dying to have a proper game.Fingers crossed eh Ashleigh?

Yeah Fingers crossed!! At least we can prove to him we actually met rory and Muffles - the pic that was taken of us with them, which btw we are putting in our Yearbook as requested by Muffles! Don't worry we'll give you a copy haha. I can't believe the guys were shocked when we said that we go to the games eh Kylz, do they not think that there are any girls in the world that actually do like rugby and are interested in playing it and watching it and may i add not just there to see the 'eye candy'? Oh well they guys are great and really friendly so we can't complain.
