Glasgow Warriors hooker Scott Lawson is determined to make up for missing out on Scotland's Calcutta Cup win over England last month.

Scott is set to replace Ross Ford in Frank Hadden's squad for the RBS Six Nations showdown with Ireland in Dublin after the Borders player injured his knee.

Scott said in the Evening Times: "I wish Ross all the best and will call him. But I will take any chance that comes my way and will do all I can to cement my place."
