"It was a case of so near and yet so far, which just about sums up our season," Dan Parks told the Daily Record.
"It was a really heartening performance but so unbelievably frustrating at the same time."
Dan gave Glasgow the lead but was off target with a couple of kicks later in the match. "That made all the difference. If they had gone over I'm sure we'd have finished them off," said the Scotland stand-off.
"Losing the close games has become a bit of a habit and we just need a break or two.
"But there were plenty of positives. Several young guys have come into the squad and fronted up. They have given us genuine optimism for the future."
