Inaugural Touch Tournament a success

If not refereeing, Warriors players were also in charge of air horns, and score sheets!
Today's Touch Tournament was won by the Glasgow Hawks, who successfully saw off competition from thirty other clubs, including Ayr who were runners-up in the final.

Warriors head coach Sean Lineen, who also acted as MC during the sunny afternoon at Whitecraigs RFC, said: "Congratulations to Hawks who played well throughout the tournament. It’s been a great day and we’ve all really enjoyed it – particularly our players who, if they were not refereeing the touch games, were out an about in the crowd chatting with supporters and helping out with the other activities."

Warriors captain Alastair Kellock added: "We’d like to thank all the clubs and supporters for coming along to join in our day, which was great fun, and a good start to our pre-season programme. A special mention has to go to Newton Stewart who won the Tug of War competition. Hopefully, all the people who were here today will come along to our home games this season and we can build on the Warriors community spirit."
