The Warriors skipper told The Scotsman: "It was good to be here and see the interest and feel the buzz about the Heineken Cup, because it is a great tournament, but it's fascinating as well to see all the interest around the Wasps guys, Harry Ellis from Leicester, and others; it sort of makes you realise where you stand in the pecking order.
"That's not a complaint; it's the way it is, but you want some of that for Glasgow. I want to go to the launch next year and say 'look, we're here' and the only way to achieve that is to win games and make our presence felt in the competition. That means improving on a disappointing performance against Munster last Friday when we play Ulster this week, and giving ourselves a confident lift into the Heineken Cup.
"That's what this season has got to be about for Glasgow - doing well in the Magners League and making people sit up and take notice of us in Europe."
