McCall will name his starting team on Thursday by noon.

If we lose to a team that thinks Issac Boss is a scrum-half (or indeed any form of rugby player) then I may never watch rugby again.

isaac boss could will go on the lions tour in 2009, last year toulouse couldn't handle him and thats why we won 33-3, if our pack get good clean ball then he'll cause glasgow havoc, we have a very solid 2nd row in ryan cladwell and could well start for ireland in the 6 nations for ireland and bryan young srcummaged like a bear againest the big south african ollie le roux

Not sure what match AW was watching on Friday night but Ollie Le Roux took Bryan Young apart. Bryan is an excellent loose head but he can't play on the tight side

Just the usual Ulster squad. Our boys have nothing to fear after fronting up so well to Munster. Hopefull we can get quick ball to our backs where we have the beating of almost any team in the league! roll on friday.

munster haven't exactly been playing brilliantly have they and they missed paul o'connel and ronan o'gara, we certainly have the backs ands if humphreys is playing we'll have the upper hand, we have got a pack who can front up to anyone everysingle players has been an intwernational for at least 1 year in our pack so you can't say we haven't quality, and it was the ulster men who formed the irish pack which beat australia 21-6

wonder if boss will have fixed his hair??

Posted by Alistair on October 31, 2007 08:52 PM | Reply to this comment

Or indeed his tendency to take 3 steps sideways before passing the ball?

Posted by hannah on October 31, 2007 10:20 PM | Reply to this comment

that too but his hair is pretty terrible....ahh at least we will have something to laugh at!

I have been very impressed with Boss anytime I have seen him playing for Ulster.People should stop doing him down because they think he has a strange hair style!

did no-one watch boss againest toulouse last year, they couldn't handle him and look at what he did to scotland when the irish pack got good ball, we got clean ball againest scotland only a few times and he scored, the difference between irish teams and scottish teams is that glasgow and edinburgh are happy to draw and the irish teams are devastated

Posted by luckyrugger on November 1, 2007 02:22 PM | Reply to this comment

don't agree that we are happy to draw, can't speak for edinburgh, but we had the lead on munster last week and had the win snatched from our grasp by inept refereeing.

if you had actually been at firhill last week you would have heard the boos from the fans so don't come on here and accuse us of settling for second best.

quality trawl Alan, the real issue is why can't irish teams bother to field full strength sides to at least give the impression they take the ML seriously??

Posted by alan wilkinson on November 1, 2007 11:18 AM | Reply to this comment

watch out for timble and cunningham in the backline, they cobined to score an outstanding try againest leinster, cunningham side stepped o'driscoll and made a brilliant break to let trimble run 20 metres to score a try, he should have gotten 50 caps for ireland only he was behind murphy and dempsey and its hard to get into one of the best backlines in the world

We gave Ulster a huge shock at Ravenhill last time round, and there's no reason we can't take them apart on Friday night

Yes we saw what that backline could do in the world cup :-)

We're not writing Ulster off. you can never write-off a side that has Humphrey's pulling the strings at fly-half, he's always been and will always be a quality player.

We're just mocking Boss. He's flat out rubbish is a comedy joke of a scrum-half.

Alan just to point it is what happens this season that counts not last. I just wondered how many games Ulster have won recently?

Posted by Garyipa on November 2, 2007 11:17 PM | Reply to this comment

Alan, Read a summary of the game on another site, seems your team is "an embarrasment"

Posted by alan wilkinson on November 2, 2007 11:54 PM | Reply to this comment

your right that performance was an embaresment, we had defended pretty well in the first half and we need the old ulster side, the ulster side that would throw the dustbin lid at you, the ulster side which uses flankers on the wing and outpaces teams, and the ulster side that doesn't loose ball
