"We sat back and fell into our shells and we need to find out why," he said in the Sunday Herald. "It boiled down to our contact, it was not good enough. We were falling off tackles, conceded too many penalties and made so many unforced errors.
"It is up to us to sort it out. Quite frankly, the way we played out at Murrayfield was an embarrassment to the club and all the fans. We know we let the fans down badly and it is up to us to go out next Friday and make it up to them. We know we are a good team."
