Max told the Evening Times: "We must make sure we end the campaign on a high. And we also have a lot of pride on the line here. They turned us over at Firhill a fortnight ago in the Magners League and also beat us in the first Heineken Cup Pool Five game - so we owe them.
"If we can beat them and stay above them then we will earn ourselves a better seeding for next season's Heineken Cup. So there is an awful lot riding on this game.
"After Sunday we are out of action until we play Cardiff at the Arms Park on February 20, so it is vital we don't go into the break on the back of another sore one."
