Glasgow travel to play the Scarlets on May 7, with the possibility that Ospreys will not play their final fixture of the regulation season until Sunday, May 9.
With the Ospreys only one point ahead of Glasgow that would hand the Welsh side the advantage of knowing exactly what they need to do to secure home advantage in the play-off semi-finals.
Cionfirmation of the fixture is delayed as Ospreys share the Liberty Stadium with Swansea City Football Club, who could require to play there in a Championship play-off match a week tomorrow.
Al explained in the Evening Times: “Maybe it is not ideal that we haven’t got confirmation of when Ospreys will be playing their fixture with the Dragons, but we can’t let that worry us.
“It is going to be tough enough for us against Scarlets and we are going to have to be at our best to get a win, never mind a bonus point victory.
“The chances are we will know by Sunday night or next Monday at latest just when they are going to play their game. If Swansea City don’t make the Championship play-offs, then the Ospreys game will be on Friday at the same time as our game at Parc Y Scarlets.
“We feel like we have got the job half-done and now we want to finish it. Making the play-offs is great, but we want to take it all the way.
“That means we must focus on getting another good week’s training in next week and try and deliver our best performance at Scarlets and that will mean an improvement on the games with Dragons, Ulster and Leinster.
“The Scarlets like to play their rugby ball in hand and at pace.
“Of course we want the home semi-final in the play-offs, but first of all we have got to win the match.
“Only our best will be good enough. The last thing we want is for Ospreys to slip up and find we have missed out because we haven’t taken care of our own business.”
