A young and inexperienced Warriors team went down to a 36-17 against the former European champions but Colin says it will have little bearing on Sunday's game.
Colin told the Evening Times: “Wasps are undoubtedly a quality team who beat us comfortably in a pre-season friendly.
“They lost their first Heineken Cup game against Toulouse last week, but I think the poor conditions the game was played in counted against them. They also only lost by a narrow margin. It was no disgrace.
“But we will go down there full of confidence. We are a totally different team to the one which lost to Wasps in the summer.
“We had a very new squad when we played them in pre-season and were also missing John Barclay through injury. He makes a massive difference to this team.
“We will go down there with a belief that if we play as well as we can and avoid giving away any soft scores then we can get another result in the competition.”
