John led from the front as Glasgow came from behind to defeat big-spending Ospreys at Firhill.
“That was one of the best second halves I ever been involved in during my sevens years with Glasgow," said John. "From one to 15, every player made an impact. It was like an international, especially in relation to some of the collisions.”
Glasgow coach Sean Lineen echoed his captain's words.
"I'm so proud," said Sean. "Some of the rugby we played today was outstanding. We talked about playing the game and not the names and it was just a case of being patient. We always knew we could score against them."
