The Warriors will hold their annual charity golf day in honour of St Margaret’s Hospice at Pollok Golf Club on Monday, May 9.
And Glasgow skipper Alastair Kellock says he can’t wait to get into the swing of things.
Big Al said: “I am delighted to be playing in the St Margaret’s Hospice golf event at Pollok Golf Club a week on Monday.
“This is one of the nicer parts of pro rugby. I am pleased to have been invited along by Douglas McCrea, one of our major sponsors, and to be able to support a charity that does such invaluable work.
“Hopefully it is a successful day and we can beat the £8,000 raised last season for St Margaret’s.”
Douglas McCrea, Managing Director of McCrea Financial Services added: “We are delighted to host our charity golf day for St Margaret’s. It’s great that Al and a number of the others Warriors players are playing although a few of their handicaps will be reviewed closely after last year.
“The response we have had has been tremendous as the day is a sell out. We hope to raise thousands of pounds for St Margaret’s and are looking to beat our total of £8,000 from last years golf day.”
Not only will participants be in for a great day out, but they could also come home with a holiday if they grab a hole in one at selected prize holes or even a new £25,000 Saab car for a hole in one at the 17th.
The St Margaret of Scotland Hospice offers compassion, dedicated commitment and excellent care to patients with advanced life-limiting illnesses and also to older people with complex medical and nursing needs.
