McCrea FS extends sponsorship deal

Long-time Glasgow supporters McCrea Financial Services have announced a two-year extension to their sponsorship agreement with the PRO12 champions.

McCrea Financial Services are extending the partnership to support Hillhead Jordanhill RFC & Ladies RFC and GHK Minis this season.

They aim to promote awareness for these clubs and the work they do at community level through their association with Glasgow Warriors, in particular for the younger boys and girls taking part in rugby for the first time.

Managing Director of the financial advisory firm Douglas McCrea said “We are very proud to be able to share in the Warriors success story after many years as sponsors.

"Their commitment, resourceful approach and professionalism reflects our own objectives on behalf of our clients. We look forward to working with rugby at all levels over the next few years and continuing to support the growing interest and participation in rugby across Glasgow and the West of Scotland."

Dougie Hall, recently retired from pro rugby and Warriors at the end of last season now joins the fold at McCreas as a trainee financial adviser. Dougie played for Hillhead Jordanhill prior to his first stint with Warriors and will have a better idea than most on the importance of support and integration for the clubs.

Dougie said: “Glasgow Warriors and all the local clubs including Hillhead Jordanhill and GHK are dependent on each other to help develop the players, coaches and supporters of the future and much of that early support comes from sponsors.

"For my part, without the support of both clubs, I wouldn’t have accomplished half of what I did in my rugby career.”

Glasgow Warriors managing director Nathan Bombrys added: “McCrea Financial Services is one of our longest serving sponsors and they thoroughly deserve the rewards they got from our success last season.

“It’s great to see one of our former players – Dougie Hall – now working for their organisation, which shows the involvement they have with our club.

“We’re looking forward to continuing to work with McCrea Financial Services to help them achieve their business goals over the next two seasons.”
