The Famous Grouse Pre-Season Challenge will kick-off at 7.00pm and will see the Gallagher Premiership side Newcastle Falcons travel north to Scotstoun Stadium.
This is the first time these two sides have gone head-to-head since 2011, when they met in a pre-season friendly at Firhill. That day Glasgow won the spoils, 17-7.
This fixture is the first of two pre-season games for Glasgow Warriors. Worcester Warriors will host the second match at Sixways Stadium a week later, on Friday 10 September, also at 7.00pm.
Glasgow Warriors Head Coach, Danny Wilson, said: "I'm pleased we've secured pre-season games against two quality English Premiership sides. These games will provide us with a standard of competition that will help us to be game-ready for the URC getting underway later in September.
"Pre-season has started well, and we look forward to getting into our second block of training next week which will take us up to these fixtures."

Ticket details for the Scotstoun fixture will be announced shortly, subject to guidance. Season Ticket Members will be offered the first opportunity to buy when any tickets do go on sale.
