Fergusson will also serve as an assistant coach with Scotland Women during the WXV Global Series before taking up his role at Scotstoun following his commitments with Hong Kong China Sevens.
The former Scotland and Great Britain Sevens international joins from Hong Kong China 7s, having previously coached Team GB Women Sevens. He also held coaching and Director of Rugby roles at Ayr RFC and Ayrshire Bulls.
As a player, Fergusson represented Scotland and Great Britain Sevens, captained GB on the World Sevens Series, competed at the Tokyo Olympics, the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens and two Commonwealth Games, and earned 50 World Sevens Series caps. His 15-a-side career included spells with Ayr, Glasgow Warriors and London Scottish after overcoming Hodgkin's lymphoma, which temporarily halted his career in 2014.
Fergusson said: "I'm really looking forward to the opportunity ahead. I know the club well and how ambitious it is, and it's an exciting time for the women's game in Scotland.
"I'm keen to help contribute to both the success and development of a strong Glasgow Warriors women's team."
Scottish Rugby Head of Women's Performance and Pathways Andy Rhys-Jones said Fergusson's experience across a range of high-performance environments, coupled with his understanding of Glasgow Warriors, made him the ideal candidate to lead the programme into its next phase.
Glasgow Warriors Managing Director Kenny Brown added: "Robbie's appointment is another exciting step for our women's team ahead of the 2026/27 season in the Celtic Challenge.
