Campbell linked to Glasgow job

The Edinburgh Evening News has reported that Hugh Campbell is to join Glasgow as part of the new coaching team to replace Kiwi Searancke and Steve Anderson.

Bill Lothian reports that Campbell, currently in charge of Scotland A and a Scottish Rugby Union employee with responsibility for student rugby, will be confirmed as the more experienced half of a new partnership.

Also stepping up is Sean Lineen, of Boroughmuir, whose appointment has been well anticipated as Glasgow revise their set-up. For Campbell, though, the call will ensure his talents, which include specialist knowledge of scrummaging which has seen him act as consultant to the national side for several years, will remain in Scotland. The ex-Jordanhill and Scotland B prop had been tipped for a job in England or France.
