Ben Prescott of Aberdeen and Eric Milligan of Hawks didn't look out of place in the pro game
Glasgow have named their back-up squad of club players for the new season.

The squad includes eight players from Glasgow Hawks - Richard Maxton, Wes Henry, Mark Sitch, Colin Shaw, Eric Milligan, Neil McKenzie, Steve Swindall and Scott Forrest.

Hawks secretary Hugh Barrow told the Daily Telegraph: "It is a tremendous honour for the club to have almost their entire first team group on the standby list but I do think it is a bit strange that the city's other Premiership Division One side, GHA, have no representatives in the reserve pool."

Ayr players Scott Lines, Damien Kelly and Nick Lavell are also included with Ben Prescott of Aberdeen GSFP and Shawn Renwick of Stirling County completing the squad.

Shawn Renwick won't let anyone down. He can play in both flanks or as No. 8. Scored a good number of tries for Stirling County.

He's played for Western Province U18, U21 & Senior in South Africa.

Shawn was also on the books of Moseley RFC in England.

I have to agree with Hugh Barrow. I'd have thought that there'd be a place for Calum Hastie and James Noonan.
