Glasgow call up five Hawks

Eric Milligan has been called up by Glasgow
Glasgow have called up five Hawks players for their match against Cardiff at the Arms Park on Saturday (ko 5.30pm).

Eric Milligan, Steve Swindall, Colin Shaw have been called up along with Glasgow apprentices Fergus Thomson and John Barclay. All five players were in Glasgow's squad for last Friday's victory over Borders.

Hawks are preparing for their top-of-the table clash with Heriot's on Sunday at Old Anniesland. Their local derby with GHA, scheduled for last weekend, was postponed due to the call-up of players to Glasgow.

A decision will be made today on whether they will demand a delay to the showdown with Heriot's.

Hawks spokesman Hugh Barrow said in today's Daily Record: "We feel very uneasy about going into such an important game without so many players. But another blank weekend and the competition will be in danger of degenerating into farce."
