Kenny is still battling to be fit for the Hughenden game against Toulouse after his concussion lay-off, but in today's Daily Record, Andy pays tribute to Kenny for his part in helping the big Scotland centre become more vocal.
Andy said: "I'm a fairly quiet person, so I'm working on contributing at meetings off the pitch as well as trying to talk as much as I can on the pitch.
"It's pretty important not to keep silent in defence and since Kenny arrived from Wasps he has made a massive difference because talking is something he is particularly good at!
"It's important for any club to have a core of senior figures and to have a player with 70-odd caps under his belt has been a fantastic spur to everyone.
"Although I'm trying take a leaf out of his book by talking more, I don't think I'll reach Kenny's level.
"We must make sure our tongues are working as hard as the rest of our bodies against Toulouse because we will need to be at our best in every respect to have any chance of beating them.
"Although we're out of the running in the Heineken Cup, the matches with Toulouse and Northampton will be massive occasions.
"Every player will be out to impress in the approach to the Six Nations Championship.
"Toulouse are a fantastic unit. They currently have 15 French internationals in their squad, in addition to Wales skipper Gareth Thomas.
"They are all big guys with heaps of pace and they love to keep the ball moving.
"When we faced them at their place earlier in the tournament they scored some tries which were pretty well unstoppable."
Andy knows Glasgow will have to sharpen up their act after their defeat against Edinburgh at Murrayfield.
Andy added: "I'm struggling to explain why we could score four tries against Connacht one week and none the following week.
"We had the chances but just made mistakes. It was a bit of a head- scratcher."
