January 24, 2005Andy Wilson out for a month Andy Wilson will be out for a month Glasgow's Andy Wilson will be out of action for at least a month having suffered damage to both knees during the Heineken Cup match with Northampton.
It's disappointing for Andy as his recent good form earned him a place in Scotland's squad preparing for the Six Nations, but with the squad training in Stirling today, the injuries have left him sidelined. Andy's club captain, Jon Petrie, still has sore ribs and Scotland coach Matt Williams indicated he'll probably miss Glasgow's Celtic League game against Neath Swansea Ospreys on Saturday. Calvin Howarth attended today's Scotland training session but was sidelined due to a tight back muscle. Comments

In my day, you'd have a gangrenous, hanging-off leg before you'd let the team down. He has worked so hard to make it into the international squad. The injury could not have come at a worse time.
