Roly will join former Glasgow scrum-half Mark McMillan and Gordon Bulloch, who signed for the Tykes yesterday. He left Glasgow at the start of last season to play for the Golden Lions in South Africa before moving to London Irish just before Christmas.
Roly, 26, who will become the fifth Scottish international in the Tykes squad next season.
"I know a lot of the lads that are either here or have played here before and everyone speaks so highly about the place," said Roly on the Official Leeds Tykes website. "They always say it is the best club they have been at and that they feel part of a family at the club and that is something I was looking for. I think if players are happy in their job than that gives them the environment to push on and perform.
"Looking in from the outside at how the team finished the season, you could see there was a real camaraderie between the players and I'm looking forward to being part of that. The club is a really professional outfit and they have come a long way in such a short space of time. The team seemed to develop a lot last season and the way they finished the season gives us a lot of confidence going into the start of pre-season training."
