Michael Cusack has left the Warriors to join Newcastle
Michael Cusack has left Glasgow Warriors to join up with Newcastle Falcons until the end of the season.

The tighthead prop joined the Warriors in season 2011/12 and has made 48 appearances.

Last August he was capped by Scotland, playing against Ireland in the Rugby World Cup warm-up match in Dublin.

The 31-year-old, who is out of contract at Scotstoun in the summer, has made five appearances this season.

Mike said: "I really enjoyed my time at Glasgow Warriors, playing with a team who were always challenging for title success.

“When I was out injured, everyone at the club, especially the medics, were extremely helpful and helped me through a challenging time.

“The supporters were always great with me and I wish everyone at the Warriors all the best in the future.

“I’m looking forward to a new challenge at Newcastle."

Gregor Townsend said: “Mike probably hasn't played as much as he would have liked recently, so this is a great opportunity for him.

“With Jarrod (Firth) now available for selection we have really good competition for places in our front-row, so we’ve agreed for Mike to go down to Newcastle.

“We’d like to thank Mike for all his done for the club over the last five years and we wish him all the best for the future.”
