Sean Lineen warns Scotland to beware of Japanese threat

Sean Lineen is certain of a win against Japan this weekend
Glasgow coach Sean Lineen was in the Scotland team that was beaten by Japan back in 1989, when the score was 24-28.

"I remember the game against Japan when Scotland lost 28-24 only too well - I still have the scars to show for it."

"They put in some big hits on us, their tackling can, at times, be kamikaze. They struggle a bit in contact situations, but have always had some electrifying runners - as we found out to our cost back in 1989!"

Nevertheless, Sean has tipped the Scots to record a healthy win in Saturday's match at Perth.

"Japan are missing five or six of their top players on this trip. Their back division only has 24 caps among them. I would expect Scotland to win by a comfortable margin this time."
