Cammy Mather wants to put 2004 behind him
Cammy Mather admits he can't wait to see the back of 2004 after a roller-coaster season with Scotland and Glasgow.

Cammy had forced himself back into national colours during the World Cup - where he proved to be the top Scots forward.

But a damaged ankle during the Six Nations series and a further problem which forced him out of the summer tour of Australia and then the autumn Tests plunged him back into the doldrums.

Cammy now wants to finish the year on a high by helping Glasgow to a win over Llanelli at Stradey Park on Sunday - then consolidate their Celtic League advantage over Edinburgh and Borders.

Cammy told today's Daily Record: "After the amazing high of the World Cup and the start of the Six Nations, 2004 is a year I will be aiming to put right at the back of my mind.

"I just want to start afresh in 2005 and get back to where I was. I am still hungry for success at the highest level."
